La Rosière in the Summer

Located at the foot of the Italian face of Mont Blanc and at the gateway to the Vanoise National Park, La Rosière during the summer is a haven of peace in the heart of the Tarentaise valley. Benefiting from a southerly exposure and totally wide-open views overlooking the entire valley, you’ll make the most of the alpine air to recharge your batteries.

Conveniently located in the middle of some of the most beautiful alpine trails, surrounded by exceptional natural heritage. This village resort is a real base camp for full day expeditions.

There’s something for everyone in the summer; hiking, trail running, tennis, the big mythical cols from the cycling world, or the highest 9-holf golf course in Europe.

For the thrill seekers among you, there’s the “Xtreme Ludge”, paragliding, down-hill mountain biking or even white-water activities, such as rafting and canyoning. With much of this accessible via the carte Activ’été, the resort’s multi-activity pass.

And for those seeking something a little more zen than adrenaline, there’s the spa and wellness centres, relaxing restaurant terraces, and breathtaking outdoor yoga classes overlooking the valley.

Children are also well catered for, with the Plan de l’Arc recreation area, and the Galopins Club providing care for children all summer for free.

Located only 9km from the Italian border, which is crossed at the Petit Saint Bernard pass, there’s no getting away from La Rosière’s Aosta valley roots. For centuries the French and Italians have lived together as cousins on this land with goodwill and kindness. You can discover all the trans-Alpine riches, its gastronomy, its history and its people.

Its choice to continue using traditional exposed stone and wood architecture throughout, ensures it retains its original alpine village feeling, and for 60 years, this charming family resort has offered an incomparable warm welcome and human touch, making it a unique gem in the Alps.

La Rosière in the Winter

Benefiting from a southerly exposure and totally wide open view overlooking the entire valley. Its exceptional snowfall guarantees snow of a great quality all season from mid-December through to end of April.

La Rosière finds itself every year in the top 10 of French ski resorts with the most snowfall.

Its Franco-Italian ski area makes it a unique and privileged destination for skiers and foodies. Skiing over the border is a special moment to enjoy and will give you lasting memories.

The more advanced skiers will be able to have fun on the steep pistes of Mont Valaisan and from its summit at an altitude of 2800m.

Those preferring a more chilled out ski experience can enjoy the easier sun-facing pistes which zig-zag through the resort. As for children, they can have fun on the themed pistes close to La Rosière village.

Non-skiers won’t be twiddling their thumbs with the choice of activities and services available in the resort however. If the purpose of your holiday is to disconnect and enjoy some total relaxation, then La Rosière’s different wellness areas will be perfect for you.

There’s also a multi-screen cinema, ten-pin bowling, swimming pools, and indoor ice skating.

Finally, when all you want to do is sit down and enjoy a good meal with the rest of your group, La Rosière’s great selection of restaurants offer a wide range of styles and atmospheres.
